Maria Goostree, LMSW received her Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. Maria has over 19 years of experience in our local school systems. Maria has worked extensively with children and families experiencing trauma. Her expertise is with youth, and young adults. She has experience in assisting families navigate their way through school systems for support and advocacy.
Maria is a first generation Mexican American college graduate. Her family immigrated from Mexico through the migrant industry in the early 70’s. She is a proud mom to her daughter, Halle Upshaw, who is also a second generation college graduate, living her best life in Chicago. Maria enjoys spending her free time as a fitness trainer at 9Round, and loving on her mini labradoodle, Shiloh.
Maria believes that through every experience you endure, you become more self-aware, and develop the opportunity for growth. She is grateful for the opportunity to meet you where you are in your journey in life, and help you develop the skills to become a better version of you.
