Olivia Dean, LAC holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling from the University of New Orleans and is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of Arkansas.

During her internship, Olivia gained valuable experience at a substance abuse treatment center, where she assisted adults navigating complex mental health and legal issues. Following graduation, she moved back home to Arkansas where she worked at an eating disorder treatment center providing care to adolescents and teens. She also has previous experience working with children and adults with various physical and intellectual disabilities.

Olivia has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which she considers essential for helping clients build self-awareness and coping skills. Her preferred theoretical orientation is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) due to it’s emphasis on accepting thoughts without judgment and fostering personal growth through aligning with one’s core values.

Olivia is eager to return to the counseling field after a period of exploring animal rescue and veterinary medicine. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, hiking, and spending time with her husband and their four cats.
