Lurah Hesington, LMSW received her Master of Social Work degree from Missouri State
University. Upon graduation, Lurah obtained her LMSW and worked as a psychosocial assessor for children, adolescents, and adults.
Lurah has experience working with individuals who may struggle with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, and posttraumatic stress. She enjoys utilizing a person-centered and strengths-based approach, as she believes everyone possesses their own special values and characteristics that can implement change in their life. Lurah also implements CBT approaches such as: cognitive restructuring, guided discovery, role playing, and mindfulness. Lurah is passionate about creating a safe space for her clients to feel welcomed and comfortable to explore and process what they are experiencing.
Lurah enjoys traveling to National Parks and hiking with her husband. She can be found
volunteering at a local animal shelter in her free time!
