David Arcana, LPC, received his Master of Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from John Brown University in 2021. David has lived in NWA for most of his life, he served in the US Navy, and has been a certified personal trainer in the area for the last 6 years.
David has been a therapist at the NWA Center for Sexual Assault as well as in inpatient settings with adults, adolescents and children dealing with a range of issues from anxiety and depression to psychosis and substance abuse. David is a trauma informed therapist who believes that our past experiences shape our relationships with ourselves, others, and how we view our world. Being in a trusting and collaborative environment is the beginning of healing. Finding strength and meaning from our hardships, he believes, is the key to effective therapy.
In his free time David enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, reading, lifting weights, and playing with his dog. David has a cat as well, but he isn’t much fun.
