Molly VanWie, LPC received her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and has recently relocated back to the area. She has been in the mental health field for over 15 years and has had the privilege of working with children and families in a variety of settings, including schools, residential treatment, and community-based organizations.
While Molly focuses more on CBT and Person-Centered approaches, she does try to find the best fit between modality and the clients needs. Molly has extensive experience in working with persons with trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, anger, sexual identity issues, substance abuse, self-harming behaviors, defiance, low self-esteem, dysregulated moods, ADHD, social skills/peer relationships, and behavioral issues.
Molly believes that therapy provides a safe outlet for clients and families to express their feelings, set appropriate boundaries, understand thought and behavior processes and to gain perspective on how thoughts and behaviors are connected. Molly prides herself on building strong connections with her clients and assisting them in achieving their mental health goals. In her spare time Molly loves to spend time with family, and friends, painting, or just relaxing with a good book.
